This Privacy Policy explains how Jaanu Collections Private Limited ("we", "us", "our"), operator of the website https://jaanucollections.com (the "Site"), collects, uses and protects your personal information when you shop with us.

1. Information we collect

To fulfil your order and improve your experience we collect:

• Your name, email address, shipping address and phone number.
• Order history and a record of items you have viewed or added to your wishlist.
• Basic device information (browser type, IP address) captured in server logs for security.

Payment card and UPI details are handled by our PCI-DSS compliant payment processor (Cashfree Payments India Pvt. Ltd., subject to activation) and are never stored on our servers.

2. How we use your information

• To accept, process, ship and deliver your orders.
• To send transactional messages (order confirmations, dispatch updates, payment receipts).
• To respond to your questions and grievances.
• To prevent fraud, enforce our Terms of Service and comply with applicable law.
• If you have opted in, to share occasional marketing communications. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of every marketing email.

3. Cookies & analytics

We use strictly-necessary cookies for sign-in and shopping-cart state. We may use privacy-preserving analytics to understand which pages and products are popular. We do not sell your information to third parties for advertising.

4. Sharing with third parties

We share the minimum information needed with the following processors:

• Cashfree Payments — for processing payments (name, email, order amount).
• Logistics partners (Delhivery / BlueDart / DTDC / India Post as applicable) — for order fulfilment (name, address, phone).
• Firebase (Google LLC) — for authentication and session management.
• Cloudinary — for hosting product images.

We share information only for the purpose of fulfilling your order and never for third-party marketing.

5. Data retention

Order and transaction records are retained for as long as required under the Companies Act, GST and Income Tax laws (currently 8 years). Cart and wishlist data older than 30 days is automatically deleted. You may request deletion of your account at any time (see section 6).

6. Your rights

You may:

• Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Ask us to correct any inaccuracies.
• Request deletion of your account and associated data (subject to legal retention obligations for completed transactions).
• Withdraw consent for marketing communications.

7. Security

The Site runs over HTTPS. Passwords are handled by Firebase Authentication and are never stored in plain text. Payment credentials are never seen by our servers — they are entered directly on the payment processor's PCI-DSS compliant infrastructure.

8. Children

The Site is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe we hold data belonging to a minor, please contact us and we will delete it.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above will change accordingly. Material changes will be communicated by email to registered users where possible.
