Jewellery Care & Composition

All items sold by Jaanu Collections Private Limited are fashion / imitation jewellery — beautifully crafted in non-precious materials and gold- or silver-tone finishes. A little care goes a long way toward keeping every piece looking as new as the day it arrived.

Everyday care

• Please wear the jewellery after make-up only — foundation, powder and setting spray leave residue on plated surfaces.
• Avoid contact with water — remove your jewellery before washing hands, bathing, swimming or using a wash-basin.
• Avoid contact with perfume, deodorant and hairspray — the alcohol content dulls plating over time.
• Remove jewellery before workouts, gardening or any activity that involves heavy sweating.
• Take pieces off before sleeping to avoid bending fine parts.

Storage

• Store each piece in a plastic box — this is the single most important tip for long-lasting finish.
• After each use, wipe gently with a tissue or soft cloth to remove skin oil and traces of make-up.
• Keep pieces separated so chains and stones do not scratch each other.
• Store in a cool, dry place — avoid humid bathrooms and direct sunlight.

Things that are normal (not defects)

• Earring back-stems bending in transit — these can be straightened manually with gentle finger pressure. It is not a product defect.
• Stones or beads loosening slightly — these can be easily re-set with a drop of clear jewellery adhesive. Not treated as damage.
• Slight design variation between lots — for every fresh lot we receive from the manufacturing unit, there may be small design differences from what you see on the website.
• Colour variation in photos vs. actual — product colour may vary due to lighting and your screen / monitor settings.

All items sold on this site are fashion / imitation jewellery. They are not made of solid gold, silver or any hallmarked precious metal.
